Practical Industry Exposure for III Year ECE Students at Cherlapally Industrial Association

Fifty students of III Year ECE undertook an industrial visit on 11 March 2026 to the Cherlapally Industrial Association (CIA), Cherlapally, to gain practical exposure to real-world manufacturing and industrial practices. The visit aimed to bridge classroom learning with industry applications relevant to electronics and communication engineering.

During the tour, students observed production units engaged in fabrication, assembly, quality testing, and maintenance operations. Industry experts explained workflows involving automated machinery, control panels, sensors, PLC-based monitoring, and safety systems. Students learned how embedded electronics, instrumentation, and communication modules are integrated into industrial processes for efficiency and reliability.

A technical interaction session followed, where professionals discussed current trends, skill requirements, and career opportunities in core industries. Emphasis was laid on workplace safety, quality standards, and teamwork in large-scale operations.

The visit provided valuable insights into industrial environments, enhancing students’ understanding of practical applications of ECE concepts and motivating them toward industry-ready competencies.
