Industrial Visit of II Year ECE Students to ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition
On 19 March 2026, 45 students of II Year ECE participated in an industrial visit to the ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Tarnaka, Hyderabad. The visit aimed to expose students to interdisciplinary applications of electronics and instrumentation in biomedical and nutritional research.
Scientists and technical staff introduced students to advanced laboratories where electronic instruments, sensors, data acquisition systems, and analytical equipment are used for nutritional assessment and health research. Demonstrations covered precision measurement devices, environmental monitoring systems, and computer-based data analysis tools that rely on core ECE principles.
Students learned how embedded systems, signal processing, and communication technologies support research in public health and nutrition. An interactive session highlighted career paths, research ethics, and the importance of technology in societal well-being.
The visit enriched students’ understanding of how ECE knowledge contributes to healthcare research, inspiring them to explore applications of electronics in interdisciplinary scientific domains.
