Training & Placement Cell

The Training & Placement Cell at MIETW is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry by equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to secure rewarding careers. The cell operates year-round, offering structured training programmes, industry interactions, and campus recruitment drives from the first year of study.

Vision

To be a centre of excellence in career development, empowering every MIETW student to achieve their professional aspirations through world-class training and strong industry partnerships.

Mission

  • To provide comprehensive training in technical, analytical, and soft skills aligned with industry expectations.
  • To establish and strengthen relationships with leading companies across sectors for campus recruitment.
  • To offer career guidance and mentoring from the first year of the programme.
  • To ensure every eligible student has access to at least one placement opportunity before graduation.

Training Programmes

Students are trained through a variety of programmes organised by the Training & Placement Cell:

1. Industry to Institute Programmes

Corporate leaders and HR professionals from leading industries are regularly invited to campus to interact with students, share industry insights, and conduct awareness sessions on recruitment processes and career paths.

2. Aptitude & Reasoning Training

Intensive training programmes are organised in collaboration with reputed external training centres covering:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability & English Communication

3. Technical Training

Technical experts and domain specialists conduct training sessions to strengthen students' core technical knowledge and programming skills relevant to current industry requirements, including coding, data structures, and problem-solving.

4. Mock Interviews & Group Discussions

Regular mock interviews and group discussion sessions are conducted to simulate real recruitment environments, helping students build confidence and polish their interview technique as per corporate expectations.

5. Communication & Soft Skills

Dedicated workshops on communication skills, professional etiquette, resume writing, and personal grooming are conducted throughout the academic year to ensure students present themselves effectively to recruiters.

6. Career Guidance Programmes

The cell organises career guidance sessions for all students starting from the first year, covering career pathways, higher education options (GATE, GRE, GMAT, CAT), and industry trends to help students make informed decisions early.

Placement Guidelines

Students must adhere to the following guidelines to be eligible for campus recruitment drives:

  • Training attendance must be a minimum of 90%.
  • Placement registration is mandatory. Unregistered students will be considered as not interested in placement.
  • Students will be informed about all campus drives through group emails and class circulars.
  • Students must confirm their participation in a recruitment drive through the online portal before the deadline.
  • Students who accept an offer from one company are generally not permitted to sit for further drives (single-offer policy), unless otherwise specified.
  • Professional dress code is mandatory during all placement drives and training sessions.
  • Any misconduct during a recruitment drive will lead to disqualification and may affect future placement opportunities.
