MIETW has been designated as a Nodal Centre of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a premier unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This recognition enables MIETW students and faculty to access world-class education in space technology, remote sensing, geoinformatics, and GNSS applications — directly from ISRO's experts.
About IIRS
The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun, is a constituent unit of ISRO, Department of Space, Government of India. IIRS is dedicated to capacity building in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, and GNSS Technology for Natural Resources, Environmental, and Disaster Management. Through its outreach programme, IIRS has conducted 125+ courses with participation from over 4,45,072 learners across 3,007+ academic institutions nationwide.
